Exotic Animal World is an animal sanctuary located in Klapmuts on Route 44 in South Africa's Cape Winelands, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned exotic pets for over 26 years. The sanctuary houses a diverse collection of rescued birds, reptiles, chinchillas, lemurs, and other exotic species in lush tropical garden surroundings, providing permanent homes for animals that can no longer be returned to the wild. Daily animal demonstrations at 11am and 3pm allow visitors to interact closely with residents, and educational programs welcome school groups and families throughout the year. On-site dining is available at Café Lemur, and the sanctuary operates daily from 9am to 5pm, offering an accessible and enriching experience for all ages focused on conservation and second chances for animals in need.
