Fluviário de Mora is a freshwater aquarium and nature education centre located in Cabeção, in the municipality of Mora, Portugal, established in 2007. Dedicated entirely to river and freshwater ecosystems, the facility showcases more than 60 species across thoughtfully themed exhibits including "Percurso de um Rio" which traces river habitats from source to sea, "Monstros do Rio" featuring impressive large aquatic species, a dedicated otter display, and the "Grande Aquário do Amazonas" which brings the biodiversity of the Amazon basin to life. Visitors can discover species from Portugal's own waterways alongside fauna from the Iberian Peninsula, Africa's Rift Valley lakes, and Asian river systems. Educational programmes including guided tours and school outreach sessions complement the exhibitions, making the Fluviário a rewarding destination for families and nature lovers of all ages.
