Glen Echo Park Aquarium

The Glen Echo Park Aquarium is a Chesapeake Bay discovery center located within the historic Glen Echo Park in Montgomery County, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. Open daily, the free public aquarium focuses on the ecology and wildlife of the Chesapeake Bay, America's largest estuary, through live animal exhibits and interactive displays that trace water's journey from watershed to bay. Visitors can meet resident animals including horseshoe crabs in an interactive touch tank, Nubbins the diamondback terrapin (Maryland's state reptile), blue crabs, and Finley, a brown-banded bamboo shark.
