Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is Africa's oldest proclaimed nature reserve, established in 1895, encompassing 960 square kilometres of hilly terrain in central KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, approximately 236 kilometres north of Durban. Managed by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, it is the only state-run park in KwaZulu-Natal where all of the Big Five — lion, leopard, both black and white rhino, buffalo, and elephant — are present, and it holds one of the world's largest populations of southern white rhinoceros, playing a pivotal role in saving the species from extinction. The park also shelters endangered African wild dogs and cheetahs, along with a vast diversity of flora and fauna.
