Humbug Scrub Wildlife Sanctuary Inc.

Humbug Scrub Wildlife Sanctuary is South Australia's oldest private wildlife refuge, established in 1905 and located approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Adelaide in the Playford region. Run entirely by dedicated volunteers, this traditional sanctuary set among native bushland and lakes is home to emus, wallabies, koalas, kangaroos, peacocks, Cape Barren geese, black cockatoos, and swans, among other species. Visitors can feed kangaroos and emus, stroll through scenic walking paths winding around the lakes and bushland, and explore a heritage house that functions as a small museum relating the story of the sanctuary's founding family.
