The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS) is a nonprofit marine education and research organization established in 1984 and located at 10801 Dolphin Lane in Gulfport, Mississippi. Open to the public year-round through its Ocean Adventures Marine Park, IMMS offers visitors engaging hands-on experiences with dolphins, sea lions, sharks, stingrays, and other marine species. Guests can enjoy dolphin and sea lion encounters, petting areas, shark tooth digs, and a bird exhibit in a family-friendly park setting. IMMS is dedicated to education, conservation, and scientific research focused on marine mammals and sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico, operating educational day camps and outreach programs for all ages. As a 501(c)(3) organization accredited for its work with marine animals, IMMS combines meaningful conservation efforts with accessible and memorable public wildlife experiences along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
