Izmir Wildlife Park

İzmir Wildlife Park is a nonprofit zoological facility located in the Çiğli district of İzmir, Turkey. Established in November 2008 following the closure of the former İzmir Zoo, the park covers a vast area of 425,000 square meters and is home to nearly 1,800 animals representing 132 species. The park features an African savannah habitat of 18,000 square meters where giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and ostriches roam freely, alongside monkey islands, a birds of prey section with eagles, hawks, and vultures, a children's zoo with ponies, dwarf goats, and rabbits, and an extensive pond for waterfowl. A first-of-its-kind Tropical Center in Turkey houses 66 animals from 18 species in a dedicated indoor environment. A member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, İzmir Wildlife Park welcomes around 900,000 visitors annually and is committed to conservation and public education.
