
Jamunkhadi Zoo, officially known as Jamunkhadi Mini Zoo, is a small rescue zoo and wetland conservation attraction located in Kankai Municipality, Jhapa District, in the eastern Terai lowlands of Nepal. Established in 2005 by the Division Forest Office of Jhapa, the zoo was originally created to rehabilitate injured wildlife and has grown into a popular destination for students and domestic tourists. The collection spans 28 species including reptiles, birds, and mammals such as porcupines, bears, vultures, and various monkey species. The broader Jamunkhadi Wetlands complex also offers boating, a children's play area, and picnic grounds, drawing hundreds of visitors on peak season days.
