Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo

Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo is a unique wildlife and adventure attraction in Horse Cave, Kentucky, blending an Australian-themed animal park with a guided underground cave tour, all included in a single admission. Opened in 1990, the park is home to roughly 40 kangaroos in a six-acre Outback exhibit, along with emus, dingoes, tropical birds, lemurs, wolves, white bison, alligators, fainting goats, and border collies that demonstrate sheep herding. Visitors can hand-feed rainbow lorikeets, pet farm animals, observe rare white bison, and explore the stunning Mammoth Onyx Cave on a 30-minute guided tour through limestone formations at a year-round temperature of 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Gem mining adds another family-friendly activity to the mix.
