Lupa Zoo

Lupa Zoo is an 18-acre privately owned, nonprofit zoo located in Ludlow, Massachusetts, in the heart of western New England. Founded by Polish immigrants Henry and Joan Lupa and officially opened in 1996, the zoo is home to over 500 animals spanning a wonderfully diverse range of species, including zebras, bears, bobcats, camels, ostriches, emus, tapirs, anteaters, primates, Aldabra giant tortoises, fennec foxes, sloths, Amazonian macaws, wallabies, and much more. The grounds feature aviaries, ponds with bird species, a critter garden, wetlands, playgrounds, a seasonal splash pad, and musical instruments for a full day of family-friendly exploration. Certified as sensory inclusive, Lupa Zoo warmly welcomes visitors of all abilities and offers memberships, group accommodations, and special events throughout the year.
