Magnetic Hill Zoo

Magnetic Hill Zoo is Atlantic Canada's largest zoo, a 16-hectare facility set within Magnetic Hill Park in Moncton, New Brunswick. Tracing its origins to the Magnetic Hill Game Farm established in 1953, the zoo today is home to over 400 animals encompassing more than 70 domestic and exotic species of birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, and fish. Visitors can explore four themed exhibit areas: the African Oasis, featuring lions, zebras, lemurs, camels, and gibbons; the Americas section with jaguars, cougars, wolves, caribou, and condors; a Domestic and Family Area with wallabies, flamingos, meerkats, otters, and more; and a Primate Conservation Centre. A 2-kilometre walking trail winds through all exhibits, complemented by keeper talks, Tarpan horse experiences, a playground, a bistro, and a gift shop. Accredited by the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums since 1993, Magnetic Hill Zoo is a premier wildlife destination in the Maritimes.
