Marine Science Center

The Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, Florida, is a public science and wildlife rehabilitation facility dedicated to the conservation of marine animals and the education of visitors about the rich coastal ecosystems of Volusia County. The center offers a diverse range of exhibits and experiences, including a 1,400-gallon touch pool where guests can interact with Atlantic stingrays, cownose rays, sea cucumbers, and horseshoe crabs, as well as a 4,876-gallon hexagonal artificial reef aquarium, freshwater turtle displays, and a humpback whale skull. The Marine Science Center Turtle Terrace overlooks eight sea turtle hospital pools where injured and recovering sea turtles receive care, giving visitors an inspiring window into active wildlife rehabilitation. Outdoor habitats house non-releasable birds of prey, including hawks, eagles, owls, and water birds. A nature trail and hands-on teaching lab complete the experience, making the Marine Science Center an educational and moving destination for families and nature lovers alike.
