Marsupial Park

Tamworth Marsupial Park is a free-entry, 14-hectare nature park located in East Tamworth, New South Wales, just a five-minute drive from the town centre. The park provides a delightful setting where visitors of all ages can get close to a variety of native Australian wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, possums, emus, and cockatoos. A free-flight aviary allows guests to observe a range of native birds in a natural environment, while Indian peacocks can be hand-fed throughout the grounds. An adventure playground with separate areas for younger and older children makes the park an ideal family outing. The Kamilaroi Walking Track winds through the park, connecting it with the Tamworth Botanic Garden, Oxley Lookout, and Flagstaff Mountain. Barbecue facilities and accessible amenities are available, and the park is open daily from 8am to 4:45pm at no cost.
