Maryon Wilson Animal Park is a charming free-entry animal park nestled within Maryon Wilson Park in Charlton, Royal Borough of Greenwich, south-east London. Set in a beautifully landscaped valley with streams and woodland, the animal park is home to a delightful variety of creatures including fallow deer, horses, goats, pigs, peacocks, ducks, geese, chickens, chinchillas, African snails, and terrapins. A busy duck pond adds to the appeal, and an indoor petting area gives visitors the chance to meet smaller animals up close. Free guided tours run every Wednesday, led by Park Rangers, giving children the opportunity to feed, stroke, and handle the animals. The deer herd is descended from the original animals donated to the park in the 1920s, making Maryon Wilson Animal Park a piece of living local history and a wonderful community resource.
