Spanning 5.8 acres with over one million gallons of fresh and saltwater habitats, the aquarium tells the story of aquatic wonders from the Mississippi River to the open ocean and beyond, featuring more than 200 species of animals. Signature experiences include a 360-degree ocean tunnel where sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, and other marine life surround visitors on all sides, and the SeaTREK underwater helmet dive that lets guests walk the bottom of a large tank. The Changing Tides expansion adds a kelp forest, Amazon, and coral reef biome with residents including a two-toed sloth, seahorses, and clownfish. Interactive stingray touch pools, dolphin and otter exhibits, and a Wild Explorer VR experience round out this dynamic Gulf Coast destination for families and marine life enthusiasts.
