Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre

Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre is a renowned primate sanctuary and rescue facility set on 65 acres of Dorset woodland near Wareham. Founded in 1987, the centre has rehabilitated hundreds of primates that have suffered abuse or neglect, and has actively assisted 27 governments worldwide in stopping the illegal black market trade in primates. Visitors can observe thriving social groups of chimpanzees, orangutans, gibbons, woolly monkeys, and many other primate species living in spacious, naturalistic enclosures.
