New Forest Wildlife Park is a family-run wildlife attraction nestled within the beautiful New Forest National Park in Ashurst, Hampshire, just a short distance from Southampton. Home to over 260 animals representing 40 species, the park offers visitors the chance to discover four types of otters — including the endangered Giant Otter from the Amazon — alongside wolves, lynx, bison, Scottish wildcats, pine marten, wolverines, owls, and many more. Some animals roam freely within enclosed areas, including Sika deer and wallabies that mingle with visitors along woodland trails. Recognised as the UK's leading institution for the rescue and rehabilitation of wild otters, the park is deeply committed to conservation, running breeding programmes for endangered native species. Daily keeper talks, two adventure playgrounds, and special events throughout the year make this an outstanding and meaningful family day out.
