Newport Aquarium is a sprawling 121,200-square-foot aquarium located on the riverfront in Newport, Kentucky, just minutes from downtown Cincinnati. With over 70 exhibits and 14 galleries containing one million gallons of saltwater and freshwater, the aquarium is home to thousands of animals from around the world, including penguins, sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, rare white alligators, and a 200-pound loggerhead sea turtle. The iconic Shark Bridge, the world's first suspended rope bridge over a shark habitat, allows guests to walk just inches above sharks and shark rays. An 85-foot seamless underwater tunnel and three touch exhibits offer additional immersive experiences. Engaging programs include public shark feeds, diver shows, penguin talks, behind-the-scenes tours, and Penguin Encounters with African blackfoot penguins, making Newport Aquarium a premier family destination in the greater Cincinnati region.
