Newquay Zoo

Newquay Zoo is Cornwall's largest zoo, set across 13 scenic acres in the heart of Newquay, and is celebrated as an award-winning sanctuary for hundreds of the world's rarest and most endangered animals. The zoo's collection spans approximately 36 species and features exciting themed exhibits including the Savannah, home to zebra, wildebeest, and nyala; the Tropical House with sloths, lizards, and snakes; the Gems of the Jungle free-flying aviary; and the Wonders of the Wild invertebrate zone. Other residents include red ruffed lemurs, Siberian lynx, red pandas, black apes, and pumas. Newquay Zoo is renowned for its conservation work, including ground-breaking breeding programmes and a pioneering European eel conservation project in partnership with local environmental agencies. Ranger talks, barn activities, live feeds, indoor habitats, and play areas ensure a full day of family-friendly wildlife engagement in the beautiful Cornish countryside.
