Nungwi Mnarani Aquarium is a community-based marine turtle conservation center located at the northern tip of Zanzibar Island in the village of Nungwi, Tanzania. Established in 1993, the facility operates within a large natural tidal pool in the coral rock, providing sanctuary to endangered Hawksbill and Green sea turtles rescued from fishing nets and other threats. Visitors can feed the turtles, wade into the pool, and even join kayak tours.
