Nurtured By Nature

Nurtured By Nature is a nonprofit animal sanctuary and otter rescue facility located in Valley Center, California, in the greater San Diego area. The 501(c)(3) organization has operated since 2008 and is home to Asian Small Clawed Otters, capybaras, lemurs, porcupines, armadillos, and other species, with all resident animals representing threatened or endangered wildlife. Visitors can book exclusive otter swim encounters and CAPYHOUR experiences that combine close animal interaction with in-depth conservation education. The sanctuary has donated over $180,000 to global conservation efforts and contributed $1.5 million in charitable programs, including partnerships with Make-A-Wish to provide transformative experiences for children with life-threatening illnesses. Reservations are required, making each visit an intimate and profoundly memorable encounter.
