Oakland Zoo

Oakland Zoo is a vibrant wildlife and conservation institution managed by the Conservation Society of California, nestled within the 525-acre Knowland Park in the Oakland Hills, California. Established in 1922, the zoo is home to more than 850 native and exotic animals living in expansive naturalistic habitats, including chimpanzees, African elephants, lions, giraffes, sun bears, wolves, mountain lions, California condors, and bison. Iconic exhibits include the California Trail, the Tropical Rainforest, and the interactive Children's Zoo, which features lemurs, river otters, alligators, goats, and a Bug Room.
