Oatland Island Wildlife Center

Oatland Island Wildlife Center is an outdoor wildlife facility located five miles east of Historic Downtown Savannah, Georgia, home to more than 150 animals from 50 different species, all exhibited in large natural habitats along a rustic trail winding through forest and marshlands. Highlights include the Wolf Wilderness exhibit featuring gray wolves, armadillos, flying squirrels, screech owls, and reptiles, as well as cougars, bobcats, bison, alligators, red foxes, and birds of prey along the main trail. A Georgia Farm area allows visitors to interact with cows, sheep, goats, and rabbits in a barnyard setting, while a Marsh Boardwalk and Ledbetter Pond offer scenic views of coastal Georgia habitats. The center is open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM and supports education and conservation programming for students and families throughout the Savannah region, serving as a cherished community resource for wildlife discovery.
