Ocean Park Aquarium

Ocean Park Aquarium is a privately operated oceanarium and marine attraction located approximately ten kilometres south of Denham in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area of Western Australia. Established originally in the early 2000s as a pink snapper rehabilitation centre, the facility has grown into a major tourism destination featuring an impressive range of marine life from the pristine waters of Shark Bay. The flagship attraction is the 3.5-megalitre Shark Lagoon, the largest such exhibit in Western Australia, where visitors observe sandbar sharks, sicklefin lemon sharks, and tiger sharks alongside kingfish, trevally, and estuary cod, with six public shark feeds daily. Indoor aquarium displays showcase coralfish, butterflyfish, clownfish, lionfish, stonefish, moray eels, stingrays, sea snakes, octopus, and crustaceans. Expert-led guided tours, conducted by marine biologists and ocean enthusiasts daily from around 9:15am, bring the wonders of Shark Bay's marine environment to life. Ocean Park has earned multiple tourism and education awards for its eco-friendly approach and high-quality visitor experiences.
