Oman Aquarium

Oman Aquarium, located in Seeb near Muscat, is the largest indoor aquarium in Oman and one of the most distinctive marine attractions in the Gulf region. The facility is themed around the legendary voyages of famous Arab navigator Ahmad Ibn Majid, guiding visitors along a journey through diverse aquatic and terrestrial environments that mirror his historical route across the Indian Ocean. Exhibits span freshwater species from Salalah, Omani coastal sea turtles, Asian rainforest habitats, African coastal zones, and deep-sea environments. The aquarium is home to 14 South African penguins and has successfully bred penguin chicks on site. Interactive workshops, animal feeding experiences, educational programs, and special events round out the visitor experience.
