Ormanya

Ormanya is one of Europe's largest nature and wildlife parks, covering approximately 4,000 acres in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, Turkey, and operated by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality. The park is organized into six main zones: a zoo, a wildlife area, hiking and biking trails, a caravan and camping ground, a nature school, and a wildlife rescue center. The wildlife area is home to 792 animals from 53 species, including deer, roe deer, gazelles, wild goats, fallow deer, red deer, and pygmy kangaroos, living in conditions closely mirroring their natural habitats. Visitors can explore 26 kilometers of trails through forested landscapes, participate in eight educational programs at the Doğa School, or relax in Turkey's first forest library. Admission is free, the park is closed on Mondays, and it stands as a unique destination for outdoor recreation, education, and wildlife appreciation.
