Parque Zoológico San Juan

Parque Zoológico San Juan, officially known as the Parque Natural de Pucallpa, is a thriving 28-hectare zoo and natural park located at kilometer 4 of the Federico Basadre Highway, just minutes from the center of Pucallpa in Peru's Ucayali region. Founded in 1991 to protect and conserve Amazonian flora and fauna, it was formally categorized as a zoo by Peru's National Forest and Wildlife Service in 2024. The park is home to monkeys, jaguars, deer, lizards, and many other at-risk Amazonian species, and features the Regional Museum of Pucallpa with fossil exhibits. An outdoor classroom through its Semillitas Verdes environmental education program, the park attracted over 270,000 visitors in 2025, making it one of Peru's most popular wildlife destinations.
