Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is an ethical wildlife sanctuary located on 30 acres of tropical jungle bordering Khao Prae Teao National Park in Kathu, Phuket, Thailand. Founded in 2016, the sanctuary provides a permanent retirement home for rescued Asian elephants formerly used in logging and tourism industries, with 13 resident elephants living in a natural forest habitat free from performing or riding. Visitors explore the sanctuary via Thailand's longest canopy walkway and can observe the elephants in their natural surroundings through observation-only half-day, full-day, and volunteer programs. An on-site elephant hospital supports rehabilitation and reintegration, and all programs are designed to educate guests about elephant welfare and conservation.
