Polar Park

Polar Park is a renowned wildlife park located in Bardu in the Troms region of northern Norway, widely recognised as the world's northernmost animal park. Spanning 110 hectares across just 12 large enclosures, the park is dedicated to showcasing Norway's native Arctic and sub-Arctic fauna, with a particular focus on the country's four largest predators: the brown bear, Eurasian lynx, grey wolf, and wolverine. Other resident species include moose, musk ox, red deer, and reindeer. The park's generous area-per-animal ratio reflects a deep commitment to animal welfare, and the animals roam freely in habitats closely resembling their natural environment. Keeper-led tours and guided walks allow visitors to observe the animals at close range. Polar Park opened in 1994 and has since become a premier destination for wildlife experiences in Norway's dramatic northern landscape.
