Popcorn Park Animal Refuge

Popcorn Park Animal Refuge is a wildlife sanctuary and refuge operated by the Associated Humane Societies in Forked River, New Jersey, in the heart of the Pine Barrens region. Since 1977, the park has provided lifetime care for more than 200 rescued animals including exotic species such as big cats and primates, native wildlife like birds and white-tailed deer, and farm animals including horses, goats, and pigs. The sanctuary welcomes animals that have been abandoned, injured, or are otherwise unable to survive in the wild, with a focus on rehabilitation and, where possible, release back to natural habitats. Open daily, the refuge offers families accessible pathways, a picnic area, refreshments, and educational group tours. Visitors can support individual animals through sponsorship programs or Zoological Society memberships.
