
Puget Sound Estuarium is a marine life discovery center located in downtown Olympia, Washington, dedicated to connecting people of all ages with the estuarine ecosystems of South Puget Sound. The facility features aquariums, interactive exhibits, and interpretive displays showcasing animals from intertidal and subtidal environments, including sea stars, crabs, shrimp, anemones, sea cucumbers, chitons, and stickleback fish. The center provides K-12 education resources and offers school field trips, as well as community programs that take participants to local docks and beaches for hands-on intertidal exploration. A volunteer program offers unique opportunities for deeper engagement with coastal marine life. As a nonprofit organization run by the South Sound Estuary Association, the Puget Sound Estuarium serves as both a welcoming public attraction and an important hub for estuary science education and stewardship in the South Puget Sound region.
