Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda's most biodiverse and popular safari destination, situated near Kasese in western Uganda and encompassing savannah, wetlands, and forest habitats. The park is home to over 95 mammal species and more than 600 bird species, offering exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. Highlights include the famous tree-climbing lions of Ishasha, chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, enormous herds of hippos along the Kazinga Channel connecting Lake Edward and Lake George, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and diverse primates including black-and-white colobus monkeys.
