Romelia Farms Wildlife Preserve and Petting Zoo is a 36-acre family-friendly farm and wildlife preserve located on historic Merritt Island, Florida, just 8 miles south of Kennedy Space Center. Founded in 2021 on a property with roots dating back to the 1890s as an orange grove and later one of Florida's first alligator ranches, the farm is now home to over 160 farm and exotic animals. Guests enjoy guided petting zoo tours, animal encounters, and horseback rides along private trails, with opportunities to interact with horses, camels, goats, sheep, pigs, cows, and more. The preserve is dedicated to educating the community about conservation and responsible animal care, welcoming school field trips, birthday parties, and group events. The on-site event barn, The Watermill, also serves as a charming venue for weddings, showers, and corporate gatherings, making Romelia Farms a versatile and memorable destination on Florida's Space Coast.
