Rooster Cogburn's Ostrich Ranch is a three-generation family-owned working ranch located in Picacho, Arizona, between Tucson and Phoenix in Pinal County. Open to the public since 1999, the ranch offers guests the chance to hand-feed a variety of animals including ostriches, Miniature Sicilian Donkeys, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Fallow Deer, Boer Goats, Peking Ducks, sheep, rabbits, and canaries. A highlight of the visit is the 5,000-square-foot tropical greenhouse filled with colorful Australian Rainbow Lorikeets, where guests can offer sweet nectar and have the birds land on their hands and shoulders. Weekend and holiday visitors can also enjoy the Picacho Peak Monster Truck Tour, a guided 45-minute adventure covering ostrich ranching, Sonoran Desert ecology, and local wildlife. The ranch is a beloved and unique stop along the I-10 corridor.
