Salisbury Zoological Park

Salisbury Zoological Park is a free 12-acre zoo located within the city park in Salisbury, Maryland on the Delmarva Peninsula. Founded in 1954, the zoo focuses its collection on species native to North America, South America, and Australia, housing over 100 animals including wallabies, flamingos, bison, an ocelot, a red wolf, two-toed sloths, alpacas, turtles, macaws, and rescued birds of prey and owls. A highlight of the collection is the Andean bear exhibit, home to one of the longest-lived captive-bred spectacled bears in the world. The zoo participates in breeding programs for endangered species and supports wildlife conservation initiatives year-round. Educational programs, animal encounters, and keeper talks are offered throughout the year, making Salisbury Zoological Park an accessible and enriching destination for the entire family at no cost.
