Salmonier Nature Park

Salmonier Nature Park is a free-admission wildlife rehabilitation and interpretation centre located in Holyrood, Newfoundland and Labrador, offering a rare and intimate encounter with the island's native animal species. The park features over three kilometres of well-maintained boardwalk trails winding through a beautiful mix of boreal woods and wetlands, passing spacious, naturalistic enclosures housing moose, caribou, Canada lynx, red foxes, river otters, and birds of prey including great horned owls. The Wildlife Discovery Centre presents engaging indoor exhibits on the province's wildlife, complete with interactive displays, skulls, and bone collections. Trained education staff deliver programs including films, puppet shows, and interpretive theatre presentations on Newfoundland's natural history.
