Shepperly Farm and Petting Zoo

Shepperly Farm and Petting Zoo is a veteran and family-run nonprofit petting zoo located in Cañon City, Colorado, founded with a mission to nurture the human-animal bond through education, interaction, and a peaceful environment for both animals and guests. The farm is home to over 100 animals including wallabies, goats, alpacas, chickens, rabbits, miniature donkeys, ponies, ducks, pigs, and more, offering visitors the chance to pet, scratch, and interact closely with each resident. Notable residents include wallabies named Penny and Jude, inspired by the Beatles songs of the same names. Originally started as a private family endeavor to teach sustainable living and animal care, the farm opened its doors to the public after drawing enthusiastic interest from neighbors and the wider community.
