Shepreth Wildlife Park is a well-established wildlife park near Royston, on the Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire border, that first opened in 1984 as a refuge for injured and orphaned animals. Today it is home to over 100 species including tigers, lions, lynx, meerkats, lemurs, porcupines, primates, capybara, and birds of prey, with keeper talks and demonstrations throughout the day. Highlights include the tropical house, nocturnal house, and the Education and Discovery Centre, as well as Waterworld and Bug City attractions. The park participates in endangered species breeding programmes and has raised significant funds for global conservation projects.
