Tasmania Zoo

Tasmania Zoo is a wildlife facility located in Riverside, near Launceston, Tasmania, boasting the largest collection of rare, exotic, and native species in the state. With over 100 animal species and the second-largest primate collection of any private Australian zoo, the park offers a rich variety of encounters. Visitor experiences include animal encounters, keeper talks, feeding times, and the popular Jurassic Swamp exhibit. Tasmania Zoo cares for injured and orphaned wildlife unable to return to the wild, and is affiliated with the Zoo and Aquarium Association, participating in species management programs alongside other Australasian institutions. The zoo supports international conservation efforts including the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program and the Red Panda Network, open daily from 10 am to 4 pm for families and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
