The Institute of Marine Science of Burapha University, informally known as the Bangsaen Aquarium, is one of Thailand's oldest and most respected aquatic research and public exhibition centers, located on the Burapha University campus near the seaside town of Bangsaen in Chonburi Province. Originally established in 1969 under royal patronage of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the institute combines scientific research with public education through exhibition zones featuring economic fish, ornamental sealife, and a bioluminescent jellyfish display with color-changing lighting. Daily diver feeding shows further engage visitors. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the institute offers an informative and visually captivating experience for families, marine science enthusiasts, and travelers exploring the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand.
