The Reptile Zoo in Fountain Valley, California, is an indoor reptile attraction and educational facility located alongside the Prehistoric Pets specialty store. Founded in 2009 by reptile expert Jay Brewer, the zoo features more than 100 species of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids, including California rattlesnakes, snapping turtles, alligators, chameleons, and an extensive collection of snakes and lizards. Many of the animals were born at the facility, while others have been rescued from the wild or private collections. Interactive programs allow guests to handle ball pythons, sulcata tortoises, leopard geckos, and other friendly species, while group and private feeding sessions offer even more up-close encounters. Since 1995, the zoo has hosted more than 20,000 educational events and parties, making it a popular destination for families, school groups, and reptile enthusiasts in Orange County, California.
