Thompson Park Zoo, known as the Animal Haven at Thompson Park, was a free public animal exhibit within the Middlesex County Park System in Monroe Township, New Jersey. The facility featured deer, goats, pigs, emus, turkeys, and peacocks in fenced enclosures, with interpretive signage providing educational context about each species. Set within a larger park offering playgrounds, sports courts, a disc golf course, and a dog park, the animal area was open daily from dawn to dusk and served as a popular destination for families and school groups seeking a no-cost wildlife experience in central New Jersey. The animal exhibits closed in February 2024 when the animals were responsibly rehomed following a community review process, though the surrounding park and its many amenities remain open to the public.
