Whipsnade Zoo, operated by ZSL (Zoological Society of London), is the largest zoo in the United Kingdom and one of the biggest wildlife conservation parks in Europe, spanning 600 acres near Dunstable in Bedfordshire. Home to more than 2,500 animals — many of them endangered in the wild — the zoo's collection includes Amur tigers, giraffes, white rhinos, chimpanzees, hippos, African wild dogs, red pandas, and meerkats. Signature exhibits include Cheetah Rock, Hullabazoo Farm for children, and the Wild Wild Whipsnade area featuring species once native to Britain such as brown bears, wolverines, and European bison. Visitors can explore by foot, car, or the narrow-gauge Great Whipsnade Railway, making it an extraordinary day out for families and wildlife enthusiasts.
