Wildlife HQ is a ZAA-accredited zoo located at the iconic Big Pineapple site in Woombye on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Born from the closure of Alma Park Zoo in 2014, when a dedicated team of zookeepers united to keep the animal family together, Wildlife HQ is now home to over 200 native and exotic animals. The collection features Queensland's only Sun Bear alongside red pandas, African wild dogs, primates, binturongs, meerkats, koalas, wombats, quokkas, quolls, wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas, and a variety of spectacular birds including red-tailed black cockatoos, southern cassowaries, and tawny frogmouths. Visitors can book from over 15 up-close animal encounters, including monkey and meerkat feeding and koala cuddles, with the Big Pineapple Cafe on-site to complete the day. Wildlife HQ offers an engaging and diverse wildlife experience for families and animal lovers across the Sunshine Coast.
