
Windswept Ranch Petting Zoo is a charming exotic animal ranch located in Rosamond, California, in the high desert of Kern County, offering families a unique opportunity to interact with more than 126 animals from around the world. The ranch is home to an impressive array of species including reindeer, camels, zebras, American bison, yaks, emus, guanacos, llamas, donkeys, horses, ponies, pigs, sheep, and goats. Open on Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm, Windswept Ranch partners with a nonprofit called the Animal Education Center to host an open petting zoo experience, and offers rotating activities such as pony rides, camel rides, pony painting, and animal walking.
