Zeekoepan Private Game Reserve is an intimate wildlife retreat situated near Pongola in the Ehlanzeni District, at the meeting point of the Elephant Coast and Zululand in South Africa. The reserve is home to a remarkable diversity of birdlife, with over 350 recorded species making it one of South Africa's premier birdwatching destinations, as well as free-roaming wildlife viewable on guided game drives and walking safaris. A highlight of the reserve is Khala, a hand-raised cheetah saved from a wildfire, who roams freely and occasionally accompanies guests on walks. Accommodation is offered at the Ndlovukazi River Lodge and Chalets, which sit beneath indigenous trees overlooking the Mkuze River. Game drive packages include early morning safaris with bush breakfasts and starlit bush dinners, providing guests with a deeply authentic and memorable African bush experience.
