The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center is a nonprofit zoological attraction set within the scenic Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts, home to over 225 native and exotic animal residents representing a wide variety of species. The zoo features large cats, monkeys, birds, and other exotic and indigenous animals, along with a charming petting zoo area where visitors can feed grain cones to hoofstock including goats, alpacas, camel, miniature horses, and Poitou donkeys. Covering four acres and operating from late March through early November, the zoo is dedicated to inspiring community members to respect and value the natural world through education, conservation, and wildlife rehabilitation. It is a welcoming and affordable destination for families and school groups throughout western Massachusetts.
