Zoo Kontakt

Zoo Kontakt in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia, describes itself as the first and only zoo in the Liptov region where direct contact with animals is actively encouraged. Housing more than 400 animals from 115 species — including lions, white lions, bears, lynxes, tigers, pumas, owls, parrots, and peacocks — the zoo creates opportunities for visitors to hand-feed animals, pet young cubs, and photograph wildlife under the supervision of experienced caretakers. Creative enclosures, some accessible through tunnels, add an element of adventure, while additional family attractions such as train rides, paddle boats, a mirror maze, a giant trampoline, and a miniature world ensure a full day of entertainment for all ages in the heart of the stunning Liptov landscape.
