Zoocriadero Vida Salvaje

Zoocriadero Vida Salvaje is a wildlife breeding and conservation facility located in Urbanización Manuel Arevalo, Trujillo, Peru, dedicated to the protection and reproduction of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians classified as threatened or endangered in Peru. The facility focuses on increasing biological knowledge of native species, promoting responsible captive breeding of birds, and combating illegal wildlife trafficking through education and conservation. Many of its animal residents are animals seized from traffickers and illegal captors by ecological police and subsequently rehabilitated at the facility. Zoocriadero Vida Salvaje serves as a sanctuary and research center for Peruvian wildlife, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about the region's threatened species and the ongoing efforts to preserve biodiversity in the La Libertad region of northern Peru.
