Wildlife Zoo Sher Abad, commonly known as Peshawar Zoo, is one of the largest and most significant zoological parks in Pakistan, located at Sher Abad in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Opened in February 2018 and spanning 29 acres adjacent to the Pakistan Forest Institute, the zoo is managed by the Forests, Environment and Wildlife Department of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife including spotted deer, grey gorals, mouflon sheep, zebras, blue bulls, blackbucks, urials, Bactrian camels, fallow deer, rhesus monkeys, llamas, wallabies, sambar deer, giraffes, Arabian oryx, markhors, and black bears. The zoo also maintains a diverse aviary with flamingos, cranes, bustards, and raptors. With a strong educational mission focused on biodiversity awareness and conservation, the zoo warmly welcomes school groups, families, and wildlife enthusiasts throughout the week.
